2018 World Cup: Players Rohr might drop from Super Eagles squad revealed

Head coach of the Super Eagles, Gernot Rohr, will drop Kenneth Omeruo from his squad to the 2018 World Cup, except his club form improves greatly.

Also in danger of missing out are Anthony Nwakaeme and Kayode Olanrewaju, both of who were on the fringes of the squad during the qualifying run.

The Guardian reports that Rohr has a 33-man list, from which he will select his final 23 players for next year’s tournament.

According to some insiders at the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Rohr already has his first 15 players and will fill in the remaining eight slots after various friendly matches.

In Coach Rohr’s 33-man list are goalkeepers Ikechukwu Ezenwa, Daniel Akpeyi and Francis Uzoho. Vincent Enyeama is on standby.

The defenders are Elderson Echiejile, Shehu Abdullahi, Ola Aina, William Troost Ekong, Leon Balogun, Tyronne Ebuehi, Bryan Idowu, Chidozie Awaziem and Kenneth Omeruo.

Skipper John Obi Mikel leads the midfield, which has also Wilfred Ndidi, Ogenyi Onazi, John Ogu, Mikel Agu, Ogenekaro Etebo and Alex Iwobi.

The attackers are Odion Ighalo, Kelechi Iheanacho, Ahmed Musa, Victor Moses and Moses Simon.

Nigeria listed three goalkeepers, eight defenders, five midfielders and seven attackers to the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

Arsenal vs West Ham TIPS

Arsenal and West Ham meet for the second time in a week as they battle for a place in the EFL Cup semi-finals.

The two teams played out a 0-0 draw at London Stadium in the Premier League last Wednesday, with Javier Hernandez hitting the underside of the bar in injury time as three points went begging for the hosts.

West Ham recorded their biggest win of the calendar year with a 3-0 triumph at Stoke City last time out, while Arsene Wenger has voiced concerns over the Gunners' profligacy in front of goal after a narrow 1-0 victory over struggling Newcastle United.

Team news

Arsenal are likely to make a raft of changes for the visit of West Ham in the EFL Cup.

The likes of David Ospina, Mathieu Debuchy, Mohamed Elneny and Danny Welbeck will be hopeful of coming into the side as manager Arsene Wenger freshens things up ahead of Friday's Premier League clash against Liverpool.

Aaron Ramsey (hamstring) and Santi Cazorla (ankle) are definitely out while Theo Walcott's recent groin problem could keep him on the sidelines.

Provisional squad: Cech, Ospina, Macey, Mertesacker, Holding, Mustafi, Koscielny, Chambers, Monreal, Debuchy, Bellerin, Nelson, Kolasinac, Maitland-Niles, Wilshere, Willock, Xhaka, Elneny, Ozil, Iwobi, Sanchez, Welbeck, Lacazette, Giroud, Nketiah, Akpom.

Joe Hart will start in goal for West Ham after losing his place to Adrian for his loan team's last four Premier League matches.

Andy Carroll could also play after shaking off a back complaint, while Winston Reid is available again following his one-match ban but the game is likely to come too soon for Cheikhou Kouyate (hamstring) and Jose Fonte (ankle).

Provisional Squad: Hart, Adrian, Masuaku, Zabaleta, Collins, Reid, Cresswell, Noble, Lanzini, Obiang, Ogbonna, Arnautovic, Antonio, Carroll, Kouyate, Ayew, Sakho, Rice, Hernandez.

Predicted starting line-ups

Arsenal XI: Ospina, Debuchy, Chambers, Mertesacker, Maitland-Niles, Coquelin, Elneny, Walcott, Iwobi, Welbeck, Giroud

West Ham XI: Hart, Ogbonna, Reid, Cresswell, Ayew, Antonio, Obiang, Rice, Masuaka, Hernandez, Sakho

Bitcoin pops to new all-time high

REGAL88 Online Casino Malaysia

Bitcoin reached a fresh high of $17,956.50, according to data from Markets Insider. As of 11.55 a.m. GMT (6.55 a.m. ET), the digital currency is up 8.6% against the dollar to $17,925.45.

Bitcoin fell as low as $13,000 on Sunday but has been steadily recovering ground throughout the week.

Bitcoin has now surged over 1,500% so far this year. The recent search has been driven by the launch of bitcoin futures contracts on Sunday, which has given institutional investors access to the new asset. Bitcoin futures sold by Cboe currently have bitcoin ending January at $18,500.00.

Regulators are warning both institutional and retail investors to be cautious investing in bitcoin, which is prone to wild price swings. The head of Britain’s financial market regulator said on Friday that bitcoin is not a real currency and warned people could lose all their money if they invest.
